My 1994 Ranger 374V has a 1993 Johnson 150 Silver Star Series engine on it. It is in pretty good shape but I have to work on it to keep it that way.

The Johnson 9.9 Seahorse is a kicker I added to fish small lakes.
In the time I have owned it, I have disabled the old VRO so I can mix the gas myself, replaced the water pump impeller twice, cleaned and rebuilt the carburetors twice, replaced the reed valves and intake manifold valves, replaced the lower unit oil often, replaced the thermostats, and spark plugs multiple times and fixed small issues as they have arisen.
Since I am not a boat mechanic by trade, I often had to seek help to do these tasks. I have been given much great advise by the folks on Bass Boat Central, bbcboards.net in the Evinrude/Johnson section. They really know these engines. I would not have attempted the more complicated tasks without them guiding me. THANKS BBC!
